Our Projects

We help where the need is greatest. We have the following projects underway: 

• IDEA (Individual with Disabilities in Education Act) support services for students in the Washington Metropolitialn Area
• Learn for Change Fellowship Program: providing educational advocacy, academic supports, mentoring services and therapy referrals for girls in Washington D.C. and surrounding areas.
  • The Fellowship also provides civic education and political engagement through our Learn For Change Leadership Academy for Girls.

- The Academy fosters actionable civic particpation, political engagement on policies impacting the lives of girls and women, and facilitates study abroad opportunities for D.C.-based scholars to The Gambia, West Africa

• The Children's Task Force: supporting girls education by providing tutoring, mentoring and scholarships to girls in The Gambia, West Africa
• The Anti-Poverty Task Force: daily food distribution for our scholars from out partnership with Zaine general store- operating in The Gambia and providing a continual revenue stream for Learn For Change's Gambian programs, as well as ensuring that our students have adequate daily nutrition
• The One World Task Force: One-World Store, informational campaigns on the One World topic, and Learn For Change's online store providing logo items that support LFC's missions at home and abroad through our partnership with Indelibly Designed.
